Summer School

We were invited by Manchester Art Gallery's young Creative Consultants group to run some sessions as part of their Summer School on exchange and education.

​Thinking about education through storytelling and personal narratives, we ran interactive storytelling workshops and activities designed to spark conversation and encourage active listening through creativity. Responding to some big questions on identity and society, the group translated their conversations into artworks.

​On the last day of the Summer School we were invited back to help them run an event they'd designed for the public demonstrating all the skills they'd developed through the week.

​The event was a great success and comprised of painting workshops, portrait drawing, concrete poetry and games. For us, it was great to see young people engaging, connecting and exchanging opinions on big issues through art.
